HONOLULU--Aloha Airlines here shut down its cargo operations April 28, cutting off 85 percent of the Hawaii's inter-island air cargo, including food and perishable items, reported Pacific Business News.

The shutdown occurred after its primary lender, GMAC Commercial Finance decided not to provide further financing, according to the April 28 article. Aloha filed for bankruptcy last month and shut down its passenger service March 31 after it was unable to find a buyer. GMAC decided to stop financing after two companies interested in buying the cargo division pulled out.
