Coffee roaster pushes into retail, introduces updated packaging, shippers
INDIANAPOLIS--As it pushes its way into the retail market with its own brand, Copper Moon World Coffees unveiled a redesigned logo and packaging for its line of specialty coffees.

"We did it more to update the entire product line," Clark said. "We were a small roaster in Indianapolis and we're trying to roll out more into the retail level."

Previously, Copper Moon had packaged private-label coffees until May 2007, when the parent company, Lifesong Brands, based in Lafayette, decided to establish and market its own brand.

Copper Moon has three lines:

For its Copper Moon World Blends, the coffee roaster obtains beans from estates and plantations to achieve a flavor profile that is smooth, mild tasting and full bodied.

The Copper Moon Fair Trade Organic Coffees are grown by coffee farmers in a sustainable, earth friendly manner, and they're paid a living wage.

Copper Moon Signature Blends include 100 percent Arabica beans including Colombian, Colombian Decaffeinated, Breakfast Blend and French Roast.

The roaster's Web site, www.coppermooncoffee.com, has also been updated to reflect the new look and feel.
