The tour kicked off June 4 in Charlotte, N.C., and Sacramento, Calif. The Gelato Mobiles will visit markets in Southern California, Connecticut, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Virginia and Washington. Ciao Bella will be posting live tour updates from the road on its Twitter feed, http://twitter.com/CiaoBellaGelato.

The single-serve cups come in some of Ciao Bella's most popular flavors, including Blood Orange sorbet, Mango sorbet, Lemon sorbet, Tahitian Vanilla gelato and Chocolate Hazelnut gelato.

The tour marks Ciao Bella's first major bicoastal summer sampling effort. Last year, the company handed out more than 100,000 free scoops of gelato and sorbet during its Discover-Savor-Share East Coast tour.

The 3.5-ounce, single-serve cups, Ciao Bella's latest product line, feature a spoon tucked conveniently under the lid of the gelato or sorbet.
