Voted No. 2 in the "Best Places to Live" poll by Money magazine in 2008, Fort Collins is the perfect fit for Sprouts Farmers Market and the philosophies it promotes, according to a company statement.

The market is located in the Front Range Village shopping center. "As we review the Fort Collins area, we recognize the need to provide access to healthy and natural foods at a great price. We look forward to being part of the community and seeing residents shopping at Sprouts," said Doug Sanders, COO, Sprouts Farmers Market, in a prepared statement.

Grand opening events include giveaways of reusable Sprouts shopping bags and goodie bags, and a free breakfast buffet featuring Sprouts' foods.

2009 expansion plans include additional locations in Austin, Texas, and Southern California cities including Brea, Riverside and Orange.

Based in Phoenix, Ariz., Sprouts specializes in farm fresh produce, purchased from local growers when possible. Sprouts also offers a large selection of vitamins and supplements, all natural meats, fresh seafood, bins full of bulk foods, an extensive selection of natural and organic grocery items, rBST free milk, imported cheeses, deli meats and more.
