MOM's opens store no. 6
BOWIE, Md.-Local, organic grocery chain MOM's opened its sixth location here Feb. 13.

The retailer, which operates organic grocery stores in the Washington and Baltimore area, opened here at the newly renovated Hilltop Center. Like its five other stores in the Washington and Baltimore area, the MOM's here offers 100 percent organic produce, organic grocery and dairy items, gluten-free food products, bulk food bins, local and organic meats, local breads and cheeses as well as a selection of supplements and body care products, and environmentally friendly household products.

"I was born and raised in Prince George's County," said Scott Nash, founder and CEO of MOM's. "I am extremely happy to be opening our second store here. The county has been largely ignored by national chains for as long as I can remember, and the residents deserve a source for reasonably priced, healthy organic groceries."

Back in 1987, Nash started My Organic Market, now known as MOM's, in his mothers garage.
