FreshDirect launches mobile application for grocery shopping
LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y.-Online grocer FreshDirect, based here, launched a new iPhone application designed to make shopping on-the-go fast and easy. The application delivers nearly all the same functionality of FreshDirect.com and allows customers to create new orders, as well as modify existing orders. Available for free at the Apple App Store, it is compatible with the iPhone and the iPod touch.

Customers can now shop FreshDirect's selection of fresh foods and groceries and review specific information, such as descriptions, images and nutritional information for each product using the application.

"Now we're bringing the experience right to our customers' pockets and enabling them to order next week's groceries any time, anywhere."
