Shopping center trade group releases winners of bricks-and-mortar video contest
The International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) has announced that Oklahoma-based Broken Arrow Economic Development Corporation has won ICSC's "Why I Love Bricks & Mortar" video contest.

This is the first video contest started by ICSC to remind people of the advantages of shopping in a physical store rather than shopping online. To view the video and three honorable mentions, visit ICSC's blog: http://blog.icsc.org/?p=1487

"Bricks and mortar retailers are integral components of the communities they serve," said Michael P. Kercheval, president and CEO of ICSC. "They of course provide essential products and services, but they also collect sales taxes that help fund municipal services and they support local community events."

Founded in 1957, ICSC is the premier global trade association of the shopping center industry. Its members include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers and brokers, as well as academics and public officials.
