Natural Grocers files to go public

Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Inc. (Natural Grocers), a specialty retailer of organic groceries and dietary supplements, has filed paperwork with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering. The price range and number of shares to be offered have not yet been determined; common stock will be listed on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "NGVC." Natural Grocers currently has stores in ten states: Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.
