Daphne Zepos, founder of Essex Street Cheese Company, co-owner of the Cheese School of San Francisco and a respected voice in the cheese world, passed away on July 3 from cancer. Zepos most recently received the 2012 Lifetime Achievement award from the American Cheese Society.
