First-ever Certified Cheese Professional(tm) exam held in Raleigh
The American Cheese Society (ACS) held the inaugural Certified Cheese Professional Exam (CCPE) in Raleigh, NC on Wed., Aug. 1, immediately before the Annual ACS Conference & Competition.

The only exam of its kind, the CCPE was established by ACS to encourage improved standards of cheese knowledge and service, similar to the requirements for a sommelier in the wine industry. Those who pass the examination will earn the title of ACS Certified Cheese Professional(tm), or ACS CCP(tm), and must renew their certification every three years.
