Supervalu names new retail leaders, to close 60 stores
SUPERVALU (Albertsons, Jewel-Osco, Save-A-Lot) will be closing 60 stores nationwide as part of its cost-cutting efforts. The stores include 38 in the retail segment and 22 Save-A-Lot locations. The majority are expected to close before Dec. 1, the end of the Company's fiscal 2013 third quarter.

The company has also announced Kevin Holt as the new president of SUPERVALU Retail; Tim Lowe as Executive VP of merchandising; and Janel Haugarth as Executive VP for business optimization and process improvement.
