The Cheese Importers Assn. of America (CIAA) has named the six selected food retailers elected to join its trip to SIAL Paris, from Oct. 20-24.
The retailers are: Robert Cutler, Western Family Foods, Inc., Tigard, OR; Debbie Harris, New Seasons Market, Portland; Shauna Howell, Town & Country Markets, Kirkland, WA; Marc Nosal, Super Valu, Eden Prairie, MN; Kristine Rogers, Fred Meyer, Portland; and Nancy Wangles, Dierbergs Markets, Chesterfield, MO. Retailers were invited to apply, then were selected via a random lottery in August.

The six retailers will attend SIAL as guests of the CIAA, enjoying VIP access to the show and its many networking opportunities. They will also join Cniel, the organization representing French dairy processors, for a special tour of French food retailers: Rungis, the world's largest fresh produce market; French hypermarket Carrefour; and upscale cheese shops and gourmet retailers.
The CIAA is a non-profit trade association formed more than sixty years ago whose membership comprises the vast majority of the firms engaged in the business of importing, selling, promoting, and distributing cheese and cheese products in the U.S. The CIAA endeavors to support dairy trade, within the context of compliance with international trade agreements, and all applicable US regulations.
