Hispanic food sales at almost $8.2 billion for 2012 - Packaged Facts
Hispanic food sales will continue to grow into the next five years, according to a new report by market research firm Packaged Facts. Sales are expected to reach almost $10.7 billion by 2017, with salsa continuing to outsell ketchup and tortillas outselling hamburger and hotdog buns.

According to the report, the growth comes not only from a growing Hispanic population, but from the mainstreaming of dishes like burritos and chips and salsa among the general U.S. population. A good example is a new salsa-and-Tostitos grab-and-go pack introduced by none other than hummus manufacturer Sabra.
