UNFI, the national distributor based in Providence, RI, has added Italian Foods Corporation's organic La Piana(r) Vegetarian Bolognese Pasta Sauce, shelf stable stuffed pastas and aged balsamic vinegars to its lineup.
The stuffed pastas and the vegetarian Bolognese sauce will be distributed to Safeway via UNFI West. The region is handling four La Piana stuffed pastas, which will be available in Safeway stores served by UNFI distribution centers in Aurora, Colo., Rockland, Calif., Morino Valley, Calif., and Auburn, Wash., said Francesca Lapiana-Krause, sales director.
