Beaverton Foods expands to deli with single-serve wasabi |

Beaverton Foods is expanding from the specialty condiments aisle to delicatessens and restaurants with new single-serve Pacific Farms Authentic Wasabi. The 1 oz. refrigerated single-serve cup (SRP $1.49) joins the 3.5 oz. jar ($5.99), which hit the national grocery marketplace this spring. Other SKUs are the 1.53 oz. tube ($4.99) and a 13 oz. foodservice size.
Beaverton Foods acquired Pacific Farms in 2011, noting a growing interest in fresh prepared wasabi rather than the typical product that contains mustard flour, horseradish powder, fillers and artificial colors.
