Polka Dot Bake Shop founders sell bakery to focus on specialty food production
Michelle Miller and Jennifer Chapman, founders of Charlotte's first gourmet cupcake bakery, Polka Dot Bake Shop, have sold their bakery to focus on their growing line of sweet potato crackers and sweet potato granola. Distributed in over 300 stores in the U.S. and Canada, the sofi-award winning line is made exclusively from North Carolina sweet potatoes.

"As both of our businesses continued to thrive, we found that we were running two separate businesses, each with its own set of customers and products," says Miller. "We felt it was time to devote all of our energy to one business in order to concentrate our efforts." New packaging and branding for Millchap Purveyors' crackers and granola will debut at the Summer Fancy Food Show in June.
