Consumers, retailers and others concerned with food safety will have an easier time finding food safety information. The Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) of the Food & Drug Administration has reorganized the content of its portion of www.fda.gov/food for easier navigation.
Visitors to the site will see changes in the main navigation bar on the homepage, with new section titles that group food-related web content into logical categories intended to help users locate needed information more quickly.

For example, guidance documents and regulatory information are now consolidated by topic in the Guidance Documents & Regulatory Information section, as indicated on the navigation bar of the Food homepage.
Information about food allergens, previously spread out across several sections, now is consolidated in the new "Allergens" section, under "Ingredients, Packaging and Labeling."
Information about specific food products and safe food handling is now collected in the Buy, Store & Serve Safe Food section under Foodborne Illness & Contaminants.
The Popular Topics section now collects the most frequently searched-for information from across the Food section.
CFSAN is interested in what consumers and other users have to say about the site's new organization. Questions or recommendations about the site can be submitted by email to consumer@fda.gov or industry@fda.gov. Questions and Answers on the site's new organization are available for users at this link: Learn About the Changes to FDA.gov/Food.
