After less than two years in business, POP! Gourmet Popcorn has become the pioneer of the hottest growing category within the snack industry: premium and healthy popcorn. This category alone is expected to grow to more than $1 billion over the next five years, and is considered "The Snack Food of 2013" according to Specialty Food Magazine.
Wanting to revolutionize the gourmet popcorn industry, Seattle entrepreneurs David Israel, Sachin Ajith and Dyrell "Rex" Anderson, envisioned an ultra-premium product line with innovative co-branded products. POP!'s decision to never compromise quality and to make their product in small controlled batches has proven successful. POP! Gourmet Popcorn is all-natural, gluten free, non-GMO, and has attracted a mass following including celebrities Oprah Winfrey and Eric Trump.

In the middle of the recession, when many companies were choosing to save dollars by changing to inexpensive recipes or resizing packaging or portions, POP! Gourmet launched the company with a mission to source the finest ingredients, create the highest quality products and provide the best value to the consumer. The company's commitment to the finest components led POP! around the world in search of certain ingredients like pure truffle oil from Spain and a high-grade non-GMO corn syrup from Austria. Unlike other companies substituting similar ingredients hoping that customers wouldn't notice, POP! recognized that today's food conscious consumers are more informed than ever before. Israel "drew the line in the sand" and continues to seek other gourmet category leaders with which to partner.
POP! Gourmet Popcorn is handmade, with a focus on taste and innovation. The line features 10 handcrafted flavors, including Oprah's favorite White Truffle Bliss and best-selling Chocolate Salted Caramel. Each small batch is made using only the purest and freshest ingredients available. The popcorn comes in resealable foil packaging, which extends the shelf life, with standard bags ranging in size from .3 ounces to 8.25 ounces.
POP! has forged partnerships with companies like Rogue Creamery and Brown & Haley and created the extremely popular Rogue Blue Popcorn and Butter Toffee Popcorn made with Almond Roca Buttercrunch[R]. POP! recently launched POP! Lite to appeal to health, fitness and diet-conscious consumers. The line consists of Guiltless White Truffle and Guiltless Sunflower Oil and Sea Salt. Both are air popped, have only three natural ingredients and contain 40 calories per cup.
POP! priced products within reach of the average customer and was picked up by national chains and independent retailers throughout the country. Stores are reporting a rapid increase in demand for these products. POP! also introduced a single serve and vending line packaging.
