Whole Foods unveils new format with Dallas store, includes in-house spa
DALLAS--Natural food retailer Whole Foods Markets opened a new store here Dec. 6 showcasing several new features from the Austin-based grocery chain.

Personal shoppers, home delivery options and dietician services are available through the new food concierge service, and Refresh: The Everyday Spa by Whole Foods is located on the second floor of the 52,000-square-foot store. The full-service spa includes seven treatments rooms with additional massage chairs overlooking the market. "You can book your grocery list with the concierge desk, and instead of spending an hour pushing a cart, you can spend your hour on a massage table upstairs," Scott Simons, associate marketing director for Whole Foods, told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Customers may also order food from the spa menu or purchase salon-quality health and beauty products from the spa store.

Additionally, a dry aging room for beef, special cheese case and in-house meat and seafood smokers are part of the store. A candy shop allows customers to purchase--and view the production of--in-house treats such as cotton candy and taffy.

The new store replaces a previous Whole Foods Market located across the street from its current location at 11700 Preston Rd.

Whole Foods Market owns and operates nearly 200 stores in North America and the United Kingdom.
