2009 new product deadlines & guidelines

Ready or not, 2009 is almost here.

This time of year, my phone is ringing with folks asking about new product and show product deadlines for the coming year.

Here's the skinny: guidelines for new product submission are the same as show product submissions—minus the booth number.

Here at Gourmet News, we define new products as items being unveiled for the first time at the show. (This includes updated packaging, additional sizes of existing products & gift sets, etc.)

2009 Deadlines:
January - Winter Fancy Food Show: November 12:
March - IHA/International Home & Housewares Show issue: Jan. 9
July - Summer Fancy Food Show: May 12
August - Gourmet Housewares Show: July 1

Please include:
-Your booth number;
-product name(s) and brief description of the product(s) not to exceed 200 words;
-colors/sizes/materials/flavors you will debut;
-month product (s) will be available to retailers
-suggested retail price;
-phone number for retail orders;
-complete mailing address; and,
-URL.
-one color photo (optional) smaller than 2 mb, zipped or stuffed

Please send new product announcement(s) TOGETHER with ONE color photo.

E-mail submissions:
We welcome your submissions via email. To ensure your email is not labeled as SPAM and is delivered: in the subject head please include: "FFS" (or show name) + your company name.
You can email one high rez image captured at 300 dpi in an eps, tif or jpeg format along with your product description. We have 2 mb limit on attachments so please STUFF or ZIP.

Please don't send the PDFs, Power Point presentations, Word attachments with embedded graphics or sales sheets. Items are considered in the order received. We must have your booth number for consideration as show products.

See you at the shows!
