Do I have to log in every time I want access to stories or resources on your site?

No. When you first log into www.gourmetnews.com, a box is checked by default that allows you to be "remembered" by our site. If this box remains checked, a cookie will be deposited on your computer that will automatically log you in whenever you return to the site.

If you deselect this "remember me on this computer" feature, and/or your computer is configured to not accept cookies, you will need to enter your login information each time you wish to sign in to our website.

I am a subscriber to the print edition of Gourmet News. Do I have to sign up for access to your website?

No. Log in as a "Print subscriber." You will be asked for simple pieces of information to match against our print subscriber base, and given instant access to the website.

I just signed up for a print subscription, but I'm not recognized when I try to log in. What do I do?

If cookies are disabled on your computer, there may be a delay before you are recognized when signing in to www.gourmetnews.com. We apologize for this delay; it should end by the time you receive your first print edition of Gourmet News. In the meantime, the email you were sent when you subscribed contains a temporary username and password that you are welcome to use to gain immediate access to our website.

I filled out a form on your old website to access archives. Will the user name and password I set up then work on your new site?

No. User names and passwords created on the old site (before February 2005) have expired.

If you are a print subscriber, you can quickly sign in to the new site (see previous FAQ).

If you are not a print subscriber but would like full access to www.gourmetnews.com, you must register. Click "Subscribe", choose "I don't have an account, " then select "Yes, start my Free Web Access" in the drop-down menu. Fill out the simple form, and submit it; you will then have instant access to all features of our new site.

How do I sign up for e-News?

Our weekly e-News service is automatically provided to anyone who signs up for a new print subscription to Gourmet News or for access to www.gourmetnews.com.

If you would like to sign up just for e-News, click "Subscribe", then select "Yes, start my free e-News" in the drop-down menu. You will be instantly added to our list, and alerted weekly to breaking industry news.

How do I unsubscribe to e-News?

You may cancel delivery of e-News at any time by visiting www.gourmetnews.com, logging in, and clicking "My Account". Your current profile will appear. Click the e-News Registration" button, choose "cancel my e-News registration," and submit your request.

Alternately, you may cancel e-News at any time by clicking on the "unsubscribe" link included with every e-News email alert.

How do I manage my account?

To renew your subscription, change subscription options, or update your address or other contact information, log in to www.gourmetnews.com and click "My Account".
