Cheese Industry Group Seeks Board of Directors Nominations
Each year, the ACS Nominating Committee seeks nominations of cheese industry professionals from all types and sizes of eligible organizations to serve on the ACS Board of Directors. The American Cheese Society values and seeks diverse leadership as defined by race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, nationality, disability, appearance, geographic location and professional level.
The submission deadline is March 16.
The number of slots available and category of nominees change each year. In 2022, the nominating committee is seeking to fill four positions in two categories:
- 2 TRADE AFFILIATE MEMBERS – The Trade Affiliate category is for individuals and cheese industry companies involved in the distribution and marketing of cheese and/or cheese-related products – retailers, foodservice/restaurateurs, distributors, suppliers, writers/PR, educators, affineurs and technical members. SFA Adjusts Winter Fancy Food Hours
The Specialty Food Association has adjusted the hours for its 2022 Winter Fancy Food Show in response to member feedback.
The show, operating under SAFFE (Safe at Fancy Food Events) protocols, will continue to run Feb. 6-8 at the GBAC-certified Las Vegas Convention Center.
Based on member feedback, hours have been shortened to 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and Monday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday. Sampling of specialty food and beverages from domestic and international exhibitors, and educational programming will still be featured.
“The SFA understands the excitement and the challenges of participating in the Winter Fancy Food Show during a pandemic,” said Bill Lynch, president. “We are happy to be responsive to member input and can’t wait to safely gather with them in Las Vegas.”
The show will feature:
- Hot trends from the SFA Trendspotter Panel 2022 Predictions
- Startup Pavilion – up and coming makers
